USE and MAINTENANCE of BRUSHCUTTER

1: Applications and categories

The brushcutter is mainly suitable for mowing operations on irregular and uneven ground and wild grasses, shrubs and artificial lawns along forest roads. The lawn mowed by the brushcutter is not very flat, and the site is a little messy after the operation, but its lightweight, easy to carry and adaptable to special environments play a role that other lawn trimmers cannot replace.

Categories of brushcutters: The types of brushcutters can be divided into handheld, side-mounted and backpack types according to the way they are carried. According to the type of intermediate transmission shaft, it can be divided into rigid shaft drive and soft shaft drive. According to different power sources, it is divided into gasoline engine type and electric type, of which the electric type has battery charging type and AC operation type.

Operation structure and working principle of brushcutter: brushcutters are generally composed of engine, transmission system, working parts, operating system and back hanging mechanism.

The engine is generally a single-cylinder two-stroke air-cooled gasoline engine with a power of 0.74-2.21 kilowatts. The transmission system transmits the power of the engine to the working parts, including the clutch, intermediate transmission shaft, reducer, etc. The clutch is an important power transmission component, which is mainly composed of centrifugal block, centrifugal block seat, spring and clutch disc.

Starting the engine, when the engine speed reaches 2600-3400 rpm, under the action of centrifugal force, the centrifugal block overcomes the preload of the spring and opens outward, and the clutch disc is combined with one due to friction, and the clutch begins to work and transmits torque. When the engine speed is further increased, the clutch transmits the maximum torque and maximum power from the engine. The torque transmitted by the clutch is transmitted to the reducer through the transmission shaft, and the reducer reduces the engine speed of about 7000 rpm to the working speed, and the working parts are cut.

When the engine speed is less than 2600 rpm, due to the weakening of the centrifugal force, the spring is restored, so that the centrifugal block is separated from the centrifugal disc, and the clutch stops working and no longer transmits torque. The speed of the engine when the clutch is combined is called the meshing speed. The speed of the engine must be greater than the meshing speed when working.

The working parts of the brushcutter are cutting heads, mainly including integral cutting blades, foldable blades and nylon rope cutting knives. The integral blade has 2 teeth, 3 teeth, 4 teeth, 8 teeth, 40 teeth, and 80 teeth. The foldable blade consists of a cutterhead, blade, anti-roll ring and lower tray. The blade has 3 blades, evenly mounted on the cutterhead, each blade has four edges, and can be reversed for U-turn. There is a long groove in the middle of the blade to adjust the extension of the blade outside the cutterhead. The blade can be elongated when cutting young grass, and the cutting of old weeds should be shortened. When mounting, the extension length of the blade should be the same. The nylon rope mower head is composed of shell, nylon rope, rope coil, shaft, button, etc.

The brushcutter is a good helper for garden finishing, with small size, light weight, and powerful, and is a garden tool favored by garden workers. In order to keep the brushcutter in good working condition and give full play to its maximum advantages, it is very important to adjust the brushcutter. The adjustment of the brushcutter mainly has the following eight adjustments:
